And off in libraryland…

Does it make me a giant geek that I am excited because The Alberta Library has a new advertising campaign at Books and Beyond? Probably!

Sure, you can pop over and write some book reviews, but while you’re there, check out how libraries helped Marty Chan get away with murder, and have some fun by stamping some random guy in the face. (The stamp thing? Oddly addictive.)

I wish they had kept all the previous ads up, because I am just all librarian-ly that way, but there are still some of the (award-winning!) video ads on the fun page. I love these ads because they’re clever, funny, and still pack a fairly significant idea, not sacrificing content for form. Would all library advertising be this effective…
